Roksanda for London Fashion Week, Choreography Holly Blakey
Dance and Movement
I am an independent dance artist working across performance, choreography, movement direction, teaching and lecturing in higher education. My practice is rooted in contemporary dance, improvisation, and inclusive movement, shaped by over two decades of professional experience in both artistic and academic contexts.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance and an MA in Dance Training and Education from London Contemporary Dance School, and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). These foundations continue to inform my work as a practitioner, educator, and movement specialist.

As a performer, my credits include Candoco Dance Company, London Fashion Week (choreography by Holly Blakey), Glyndebourne Opera, Loop Dance Company, Bedlam, and Physical Recall Dance. My acting and movement work includes performances with the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne Opera, where movement, presence, and physical storytelling sit at the heart of the work.
Alongside performance, I have built an extensive career in education and professional training. I have taught contemporary dance technique and improvisation for Richard Alston Dance Company, Trinity Laban, London Contemporary Dance School, Mountview, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Roehampton University, Kingston University, and Candoco Dance Company, working with emerging artists, professionals, and students across a wide range of abilities and experiences.

A central thread through my practice is inclusive and responsive movement. I am a Lead Teaching Artist for Candoco Dance Company, where I continue to develop and deliver work that challenges conventional ideas of who dance is for, how it is taught, and how bodies are valued in performance spaces.

My work sits at the meeting point of artistry, pedagogy, and embodiment: movement as craft, as communication, and as a living, adaptable language.
